Colour experiment

Post: # 9520Post bhuvan »

Hi All,

I have a doubt related to the passage

Our ‘agents’ reported a particular experiment involving a man who was capable of lifting a certain weight. It was found (that)1, after staring for a moment at a pink-coloured screen, he consistently lost thirty per cent of his strength.

Any evidence for this experiment?

I don't know about that particular experiment but I can point you to experiments taken with a certain shade of pink.

The effect that pink has is to slow down the heart, the heart simply can't beat fast and when it can't do that the natural result would be a diminished ability to perform athletically.

Also google baker miller pink for more research.

Note that the effect even occurs with color blind people.
Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.

If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.

Thank you for the information. The links have the accurate information.

Simply raise your arm to shoulder height and have a partner of equal strength try to force your arm toward your waist. You should be able to offer enough resistance to hold your arm up. Now simply stare at your MoodMaster™ print for a few minutes and repeat the procedure. You should experience a feeling of general relaxation and a noticeable decrease in muscle strength and your arm may be easily pushed to your side!

Perhaps this is why walls in jails are painted pink in my town. When we visited, every wall was pink, even inside the cells. It was like adobe wall pink, and they said it was very relaxing to the angered prisoners.
