(there's one interesting post I've noticed -- a mural in the village/town of Akrotiri that actually depicts the city rings of Atlantis).

Those are not discoveries of actual Atlantis if we believe Plato, since they ignore one very important element of the description -- in Timaeus (http://goldenplanetforum.com/library/plato/timaeus.txt) and Critias (http://goldenplanetforum.com/library/plato/critias.txt) it is written that Atlantis disappeared under the sea, and mud and shallows are present in this portion of the ocean because of it.
It is so striking that the vast majority of comments on Slashdot were from people who have never read those two dialogues or never thought about what they read.
And don't you find it strange that people are looking for Atlantis everywhere but never in the middle of the Atlantic ocean? Those of you who have not read Timaeus and Critias -- please do so and share your comments here. In my opinion, Plato's description in both dialogues is clear enough!

Does anyone know if Michel was told the exact where abouts of Atlantis and its pyramid? I know Tom states on his website the pyramid is on the sea floor, if so why can oceanographers not find it? Maybe on one of Michael Meanwell's Thiaoouba Truths tapes? as I have not had the pleasure of hearing these tapes as of yet I can not comment on their contents?

Michel says that Atlantis is in the North Atlantic on the same latitude as the Canary Islands. I think, from memory, he stated that in the Thiaoouba Truth interviews.

I believe there has been some investigations in this region but, so far, they haven't found it. Still, it's a big ocean to check and a lot of time has passed - maybe it's buried beneath not just sludge but possibly tonnes of rock - there may have been several seaquakes over time (this is purely my supposition).

I do not mean to deliberately say atlantis was or is somewhere else...that is to say, Ive seen a few scattered sites on the internet mentioning Greenland I admit I found somewhat interesting, if not to just get me more curious about Greenland history itself [but its probably very very cold there!].

heavily features the weird orange line....much debate about it on youtube...doesnt seem to follow mapping lines some say its 'something'...as opposed to the black one, or that black triangle thing....? anyway. Found it entertaining, and very slim but possible to me since Ive only paid a little more attention to it.

Seems very very unlikely though? Technically, being under ice is under water, but ... not sure what some of the artifact photos he shows, are. Got bored, figured Id check it out.

First thing first. After watching your video, I still think there's still much more about Atlantis. I am also a little bit skeptical about using wikipedia sources for such a sensible subject...

However, I do think that your video was in fact inspiring Don't know if you agree with me, but understanding the message behind Atlantis, not just covering the facts, is what is more important

Based on description from TP I'd think the Azores is the most logical place to start looking, unless you start diving around atlantic Most likely one would not find anything there though, because surely if there was something it would have been found already.

Also interesting is that in TP it was said that greek alphabet is very close to that of Atlantis / Mu. Now the Greek philosopher Plato knew about Atlantis and also believed that main elements are constructed from platonic solids, which might not be that far from the truth after all based on some of the theorists ideas out there. For example Nassim Haramein and Dan Winter.. It's very interesting how some of the pieces of the puzzle click so nicely together.. but we're still just too far from solving anything, like always..

heres an interesting dialogue I had read some months ago but forgot about ... regarding Azores [açores], specifically how a tour guide there equated some of Plato's writings with the valley of Furnas, Caldeiras das Furnas [I think furnas means 'furnace' as in hot/geothermal vents - seems they cook using them?!], and the twin lakes in that area ... I enjoyed reading it anyway, and looking at images of nature there. Of course theres a tourist/belief slant on the part of Tony perhaps.
