Our ‘agents’ reported a particular experiment involving a man
who was capable of lifting a certain weight. It was found (that)1, after staring for a
moment at a pink-coloured screen, he consistently lost thirty per cent of his
strength.

(1) In spite of these powerful effects, there is substantial evidence that these reactions are short term. Once the body returns to a state of equilibrium, a prisoner may regress to an even more agitated state.
Prisoners did respond and calmed down, as hoped, initially. Major goof: If they hung around too long, they became even more violent. Why? The reasons are so very very clear.
Color psychology is an immature field of study viewed dubiously by mainstream psychologists and therefore qualifies as "alternative medicine". Critics view it as an overstatement of what can be justified by research, and point out that different cultures have completely different interpretations of color.

Color consultants also point to an increasing number of studies linking colors to specific responses. One study found that weight lifters have more powerful performances in blue rooms, and another study found that babies cry more frequently in yellow rooms. Another (by Dr. Alexander Schauss, Ph.D., of the American Institute for Biosocial Research, cited on [Color Matters: pink]) used Baker-Miller Pink ("drunk tank pink") to calm prisoners. Color consultants believe that the colors used in the design of environment can have a significant impact on the emotions and performance of people within that environment.
Although color psychology is a relatively new area of scientific research, ancient civilizations believed in the influence of color on humans. The ancient Chinese, Egyptians, and Indians believed in chromotherapy, or healing with colors.
Do you REALLY practice meditation? If your REALLY do, do you practice a GOOD method? Are you sure this is REALLY so?
Ooh it's called Baker-Miller, I've wondered about that for years. Now I'm thinking..hmmm, for many years (Macho men) have steered clear of the color pink,as it has been associated with (females) & homo-sexuals. Why is that?
P.S Imagine 'your' very own meditation room painted baker-miller, sounds nice eh?
an act against {free will} is an act against nature
Be cautious with any experimentation and follow the instructions on this colored paper. (Do not look for more then 15 minutes! And do remember the findings written in the article!)
From what I discovered:
- I noticed an effect after staring at this paper.
- My mother, sleeping in a room with this colored paper for the first time and having not seen this color before noticed an effect during the night.
- I also prepared a version of the exercise with the cross in this color thinking it could provide a dual effect, but found it difficult to point out any difference since I do not practice regularly.
I remember a show durning the early 1980s called Thats Incredible. They showed this affect with colours many times over. 1981-1982. They also showed a girl who could astral travel across country, giving remarable details as she when about it.
