Please see link for a pretty decent and entertaining view for not eating meat.
You will need a sound card.

Marcus, an enormous thank you for this.
This is an eye opener. Although I knew the conditions were far from excellent, all this is horrendous.
Good god I ate little today because I've experienced a very strong nausea just by looking at the different sites that you can visit once the main Flash animation ends.
Going totally vegan is undesirable for everyone at all times, I think. Farms should definitely exist, especially to give milk and eggs. However, only natural farms that do not force the animals in any way should be allowed to exist.
What do you all think?
Again, this is horrendous, and something MUST be done about that. No being deserves any such treatment. This is sub-sub-sub-sub-...-subhuman.
Myself - I eat meat only occasionally, and find that I have enough energy and strength without it, even when in vigorous training periods. I eat yoghurt (side story: Bulgaria is the country where yoghurt has originated and is best due to best conditions for Lactobacterium bulgaricum; no other yoghurt is near it -- I've got bad experience in Canada). I drink boiled milk often, and eat eggs less often.
Ugh -- my nausea and compassion is quite strong...
Do you REALLY practice meditation? If your REALLY do, do you practice a GOOD method? Are you sure this is REALLY so?

I remember where I first realised the extent of the cruelty. I was 17 and had only read TP and TFOC a few months ago. I came across the video 'Meet Your Meat' http://www.meetyourmeat.com/ .

I cried and cried as I watched it and vowed never to eat meat again. It is truly shocking. However, this is just what to expect from people as primitive as they are on this planet. Without us knowing it, billions of animals are suffering in great pain RIGHT NOW. Billions of people are suffering in great pain RIGHT NOW (not only on earth).

It took me a while to stop being run by my emotions after watching that video. It is important to keep your reason and logic, and not be overwhelmed and forget the big picture. The Thiaooubians must be aware of SO MANY different injustices and torturing of innocent animals/people, all over this galaxy. Suffering is a part of life, and I'm sure even animals can learn from suffering.

With all that said, I agree wholeheartedly that it is absolutely terrible that people can be that primitive on this planet. While I still don't eat meat, I have no problems with people who eat organic meat, or animals that were raised well and cared for. A lot of people seem to get caught up in the method of culling the animals, branding certain methods 'inhumane', while these people take no notice of the quality of the life of that animal. It is how the animal/person lives that is important, not how it died. (similar to the TP quote)
