Forum Migration and Upgrade

Post: # 903Post VeskoP »

If you've read the e-mail sent to you from the forum, you will know that after experiencing recurring problems which I'm sure many of you noticed, the forum is now at a new hosting service. Everyone should notice excellent responsiveness and rock-solid reliability from now on. Problems are not expected unless we have many hundreds of members browsing the forum at the same time.

As promised, it has taken 2 business days to get the forum to the new service.

However, this re-launch of the forum is a bit premature, and one last configuration change remains to be done within a few hours when the new domain name is fully active. The forum could possibly stop working for some of you in the interim, but is going to be fixed very quickly if all goes according to plan.

So, enjoy the new service!

You are welcome, Kestrel! ;)

BTW here's a tip: using the forum through Mozilla Firefox, http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/, is even faster, several times faster than Internet Explorer in this case.
