Healing by the Higher Self?

In November 1985 I tested positive for the human immune deficiency virus (HIV) and was diagnosed with AIDS-related complex (ARC). I had been infected by my lover, Nado, who was unaware that he was carrying the virus. In reaction to my diagnosis I vacillated between deep numbness and extreme rage. Ultimately I surrendered, and accepted the unacceptable: death. In that instant, I recognised that I could no longer pretend that I was not personally accountable for my physical condition. I will always be grateful to my doctor for admitting that there was nothing he could do, because his honesty forced me to take responsibility for my own life.

I realised that I had a finite number of days to live - approximately five hundred if I was lucky. Each day was very precious, so I rearranged my priorities, and put myself on the top of the list. Up until that point in my life, I had always denied my needs, playing the role of the caretaker to my parents, my husband, my children and even my spiritual master. Having nothing left to lose, I decided to use my disease as a final opportunity for learning and growth, instead of being victimised by it. I embarked on a journey to discover who I am, not in relation to the world outside, but in terms of my true essence within. It was the beginning of the most important journey of my life.

Back in 1985, due to the hysteria of the media and the medical community, an AIDS-related diagnosis was virtually a death sentence. It is my belief that it is because I totally accepted that I would die, and began living in the moment, that I am still alive today. By May 1986 I was symptomless, and in full remission from ARC. To my surprise, I even tested HIV antibody negative, and have remained so ever since.

Some of the specific ways I allowed my body to heal itself were:

- I learned to live in the moment.

- I re-prioritised my life, putting myself at the top of the list.

- I learned how to be committed to myself, and created healthy boundaries in my life.

- I slowed down my pace, and learned to say yes to the precious gift of life, as it was offered to me moment by moment.

- I became a disciple of life, instead of my neurosis.

- I meditated daily for a minimum of one hour, sometimes for up to three hours.

- I developed a dialogue with my inner child, and learned to embrace all of her.

- I trusted my healer within.

- I used visualisations and affirmations.

- I exercised daily.

- I changed both my physical and my mental diet, consciously choosing what I would eat, what I would read, and what I would watch at the movies or on TV.

- I carefully chose whom I wanted to spend time with.

- I created an honest and supportive relationship with my doctor, and trusted my intuition to abstain from any medication. (That was my personal choice, I don't necessarily advocate it for anyone else.)

- I made sure everything around me, including the day-to-day details of life, measured up to my own personal standards.

AIDS has detonated a bomb under the surface of society with all of its collective fears and judgements. I have not met anyone who has remained indifferent to AIDS. Some may be judgemental, terrified, or even self-righteous about it, while others may be open, compassionate, and sincerely supportive. Either way, everyone has a reaction to it. AIDS has created a healing momentum on our planet. Virtually every level of our society is affected by it. It is the beginning of the drastic change that needs to happen on our planet.

'Mother Earth's breath, blood and flesh have been polluted by parasites called human beings'

Our planet, Mother Earth, is suffering from AIDS herself. Her breath (our air), her blood (our water), and her flesh (our land) have been polluted by little parasites called human beings. The immune system of our planet has severely deteriorated through years of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The time bomb is ticking, and it is literally our wake-up call.

I believe that AIDS is the most powerful transformational tool that has ever been available to us on a mass level. It is forcing us to re-evaluate the entire foundation of life as we know it. It is shaking the medical community and its related industries, it is affecting the educational and judicial systems. It is forcing us to question our values, our morals, and our identities. It is challenging us to treat our fellow human beings with compassion and understanding. This is the message of AIDS.

A very touching and inspiring story. Obviously HS induced.

Can you imagine how quickly she has advanced spiritually by experiencing what she did?

From seeing how the person changed his life according to an entire list, i.e. he changed a lot, the Higher Self may not have needed to intervene. What if the immune system of this person became so strong as to throw off AIDS by itself? Maybe that is not impossible. Just food for thought.
However, a Higher Self would definitely have to intervene in a very terminal stage of AIDS, or cancer, or a severe car accident, etc. when one no longer has any resources and choice but to die.
Do you REALLY practice meditation? If your REALLY do, do you practice a GOOD method? Are you sure this is REALLY so?

Death by Higher Self?

last week here in Western Australia a young University student was driving home from Uni in the early hours of the morning. She fell asleep at the wheel and rolled her car on the freeway. She survived and crawled out of her car. A couple of good samaritans stopped to help.

She had a few cuts, but was otherwise fine. She called her parents to tell them what had happened.

After talking with one of the good samaritans, two other cars collided, sending one of them skittling off into the young lady killing her instantly. Remember she was well off of the road and the good samaritin had just left the conversation moments before the second crash, he too would of died had he not moved on.

Imagine the chances of that happening?

I like that i've never heard that term before.

"Mental Diet"

Thats a great term, we need to digest a better mental diet sometimes.

We know what entertainment for example won't benifit us, so we should avoid it.
‘And there we are. When you push away your neighbours, your son or your daughter - if you aren’t always ready to help even those whom you don’t like, you contribute to the disintegration of your civilisation. And this is what is happening on Earth more and more, through hate and violence."

The whole "Death by Higher Self" thing sounds like the Final Destination movies. Maybe she was supposed to die in that car crash, but survived anyway, so then her HS was like "I've gotta try again!"

I dunno. To some degree, it all happened so that we could be sitting here, having this discussion.

Hello everyone,

Ever since I have read the Thiaoouba prophecy I was shocked by discovering the true danger of drugs - damange or destruction of one's whole consciouness. Personally I have never used any drugs but I feel I'm starting to have a problem with alcohol although the problem is still in an intitial stage and I'm not an alcoholic yet. And so I am wondering if alcohol use can do the SAME type of damage to the information in the astral body as drugs or not. This was not explained in the book so I would like to ask any one of you if you have any idea about this.
Thanks

I would think alcohol would cause lots of damage to the astral body. It's obvious that alcohol has negative effects on the physical body. The astral body and the physical body are so closely interconnected that what happens to one affects the other.

When someone is drunk, their body temperature lowers dramatically. This would mean that the vibrations and wavelengths that make up their physical body are becoming more condensed. Often, people who are drunk instead feel really warm. I would imagine that this would show that the astral body's wavelengths are instead expanding. In a sense, alcohol puts your astral and physical body "out of sync" with each other, and you can see the effects of this in any drunk person. They can't make intelligent choices, their physical body slows down (and sometimes it can't even walk.)

Think of it like your physical body is a car, and your astral body is the driver. If the driver isn't in the car, and the car is still moving, then the car is going to crash. The driver (astral body) can't control the car (physical body) anymore, and so it goes wherever its surroundings take it, until it either slows down enough for the driver to get back in, or it crashes. (Passes out). As for hangovers, don't you think it would hurt if you jumped out of a moving car? :?

Regardless of the effects on the astral body, it's still something that isn't good for your physical body either. I personally would recommend stopping. The purpose of life is to learn from your mistakes so you can correct them. I can't force you to change, but I really hope that you make whatever decision you feel is right.

Good luck, Dundee.

That's sounds so interesting. But you cant convience other to stop drinking besides 99.5% of them never know what is astral body and how can it be damaged. Besides, the find JOY of drinking and it has been the English culture as a way of socialising.

Ask you'reself not if its a negitive thing, but if it can truly be so positive that its worth the apparent negitive aspects.

Thanks Great Intellect for your opinion. You do make some good points however I think you are not right about one thing. You make an analogy of a car and its driver (car=physical body, driver= astral body) and then claim that drunkness is like when a driver is out of the car while the car is still moving. In other words you say that alcohol EJECTS the astral body out of the physical one. From personal experience I can tell that even if you are quite drunk your consciousness is still firmly embeded in your physical body and the surrounding perceptions are still the same, completely unmodified. What does change in alcohol intoxication is your ability to process (think of) the incoming perceptions as your intellectual speed and flexibility slows down considerably. The only substances that really eject the astral body out of the physical one are hallucinogens as was specified in the Thiaoouba prophecy. Hallucinogens (like LSD) truely change the surroundings in which your astral body (your consciousness) dwells, separating it from the physical body. The artificial perceptions that reach your mind (visions, trips etc.) then put a false information into your consciousness (astral body) which can alter or destroy the correct information that is already there. This is, as I understood it, the true danger of drugs. But since alcohol neither ejects the astral body out of the physical one, nor it creates artificial perceptions I would assume that its damage to the astral body is quite limited, at least far more limited that in the case of drugs

I hope that you make a positive choice, for you're self, you're own personal evolution.

Yup, my recollection of the 'Thiaoouba Truth Tapes' was that the drugs mentioned by Thao referred to illicit or hallucinogenic drugs.
