Adware/Spyware/Malware

Post: # 7561Post VeskoP »

Several visitors of the forum have a particular program running on their computers, called "FunWebProducts", that certainly falls into the so-called class of adware, and if the following is to be relied upon, could be potentially very dangerous, and may be so even right now. So I'd strongly advise people to remove it. From http://thundercloud.net/infoave/answers ... xposed.htm:
Not only this but Pest Patrol also backs up our claim that installing FunWebProducts leaves an open door to your computer through which AskJeeves can install basically anything on your computer they want under the guise of "updates". Theses so-called "updates" are installed without the users' knowledge or permission.
Because this software is possible to be detected by a website, people who have it will now see a prominent warning at the top of this web site's pages, with the above link and removal instructions (thanks to http://www.liamdelahunty.com/tips/fun_w ... asters.php for the idea and the technique to do so).

The web site now recognises and warns for several more pieces of malware.

I couldn't resist in posting this, after having found it in a newsletter I receive.
Please read and be amazed with the level of unprecedented sophistication a Spam Trojan can go:
